Sustainable Municipal Building

With an investment of 340 000€, the rehabilitation project of Beja’s municipal services building began in 2010 and is due to be completed by 31 Dec, 2012.

Located in the historical center of the city of Beja, the new services building is being equipped with photovoltaic technology in order to make use of renewable energy sources. Using innovative solutions for space rehabilitation and construction techniques, this will be an energetically sustainable and zero carbon building.

This rehabilitation will reduce municipality energy costs, and also contribute to increasing awareness in local communities of energy efficiency and optimized consumptions. Another important outcome is the significant improvement in the workplace of 75 workers.
