2009
ANNUAL JOG MEETING
On November 9, 2009 the Center for Pollution Prevention (C3P) hosted a
JOG meeting at the offices of the United States Consul General
in Munich, Germany.
The meeting was led by the C3P Director General and attended by NASA
Headquarters, NASA Kennedy Space Center, International Trade
Bridge, Inc. (ITB), TEC, Inc., Instituto de Soldadura e
Qualidade (ISQ) and the US Consulate in Munich.
The JOG meeting was opened with remarks from
General Castelo Branco by welcoming everyone to the JOG meeting.
During this meeting several possible
project areas were discussed for C3P to explore in 2009/2010.
These include:

CEGRISS (Cost Effective Optimisation of Groundwater
Remediation using Integrated Sustainable Systems) and
SAFEWATER Project
-
R&D Security Consortium
-
Safety and Security Cluster
-
Long-Term Ecosystem Research (LTER Portugal Network
-
ELECTROVALUE Project
-
River Tagus South Bank Areas Requalification and New Lisbon
Airport case studies
-
Adaptation to Climate Change in Portugal (employing the NASA
Encroachment methodology).
The meeting was adjourned, and immediately followed by a meeting
of the JOG executive members.
In conjunction with JOG, C3P and NASA also
held the renewal signing ceremony of the 2002 Joint Statement
and Terms of Reference to continue through 2011 which allows
NASA and Portugal’s collaboration to continue.
